Our Founder & Expert Curator: Hamid
BerberFlooring is founded and led by Hamid, an authentic Berber rug expert who grew up in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco. His mother is a traditional weaver, and he grew up surrounded by the rhythms of the vertical loom, developing a deep, firsthand understanding of the materials, weaving techniques, and cultural significance behind every Amazigh motif. Hamid spends several months each year visiting weaver cooperatives in Morocco to ethically source and curate authentic handmade rugs.
His expertise ensures that every rug we recommend or feature is:
